Dr. MacLeamy is a licensed psychologist in the State of California (CA PSY22989) and owner of the practice. He has practiced independently in the North Bay since 2011. He and his team offer psychological evaluation services for adults and children. Dr. MacLeamy previously worked for Kaiser Permanente conducting diagnostic psychological assessments in their Autism Spectrum Disorders Center in San Francisco from 2009 through 2021. Dr. MacLeamy received his bachelors degree in music from Northwestern University. He earned his doctorate in clinical psychology from the PGSP-Stanford Psy.D. Consortium in Palo Alto, CA. He has a diverse training background, including experience at the Stanford University School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, the Palo Alto Veterans Administration Health Care System as well as school-based counseling work and community mental health settings. (Photo by Bethany Weiss Floraday) JESSICA HOBSON, PH.D. Dr. Jessica Hobson is a licensed psychologist (CA PSY28015). She is Clinical Director of the Family Guidance and Therapy Center (Petaluma) and a Lecturer in the Psychology Department at Sonoma State University (2013 – present). She was previously employed as a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of Child Health, University College London (2002 – 2013). She provides diagnostic assessments, independent educational evaluations, and therapy for individuals and families affected by autism. She also provides service learning / internships / and training experiences for students and professionals in the local community. Her research and clinical interests include co-mindfulness, joint attention, symbolic play, and parent-child interaction, with a focus on Autism Spectrum Disorder and early typical development. She has published academic papers on diverse topics in ASD including comorbid psychiatric symptoms, sensory processing differences, social anxiety, and neurocognitive profiles.” She earned her PhD in Child Clinical Psychology from the University of Miami (1996 – 2001), supervised by Dr. Peter Mundy now at the MIND Institute. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic (WPIC, in Pittsburgh, PA) under the supervision of Dr. Nancy Minshew (2000 – 2001). SHEILA KATZ, PH.D., BCBA Sheila Katz, Ph.D., BCBA, is a licensed psychologist (CA PSY 32882) and Board Certified Behavior Analyst, specializing in early intervention for ASD and other developmental delays. She also enjoys working with teens and adults. Dr. Katz received her doctorate in Educational Psychology from the University of Houston, with a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education. She practices an interdisciplinary therapeutic approach, including Applied Behavior Analysis, Pivotal Response Therapy, Floortime, and Relational Development Intervention, in addition to yoga and mindfulness practices, for children and adults. Dr. Katz’s postdoctoral training includes PEERS (Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills) at the Semel Institute for Neuroscience at UCLA, and she is a Certified PEERS Provider. CYNTHIA VERGARA, M.S., L.M.F.T. Cynthia Vergara, M.S., L.M.F.T. is a licensed psychotherapist (MFT 48660). She works part time with Dr. MacLeamy and also conducts ASD assessment at the Kaiser Permanente ASD Center in San Francisco. Cynthia is fluent in Spanish and has completed specific training for ASD assessment in Spanish (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule- 2nd Edition). Cynthia completed her undergraduate degree in Liberal Arts at the University of Florida and New College of California. She received her master’s degree in counseling with specialization in marriage and family therapy at San Francisco State University in 2006. Since then she has worked in a variety of settings including La Familia Counseling Services, Huckleberry Youth Programs, Marin County Behavioral Health and Recovery Services and Kaiser Permanente. GABRIELLA RUZIN, PSY.D. Dr. Ruzin is a licensed psychologist (CA PSY 33207) who began working with Dr. MacLeamy in October 2020. She also works at the Kaiser Permanente ASD Center in San Francisco. Dr. Ruzin has dedicated her clinical experiences to working with children and families, and has a specific interest in conducting autism evaluations and providing Pivotal Response Therapy (PRT) to children on the spectrum. Prior to completing her degree, she also conducted diagnostic psychological assessments at Kaiser Permanente’s ASD Center in San Francisco. Dr. Ruzin received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2016. She earned her PsyD at Alliant International University in San Francisco (2016-2020) and completed her pre-doctoral internship at the Jewish Child Care Association (JCCA) in Westchester, NY. While at JCCA, she worked with children diagnosed with intellectual disability, in addition to autism and severe psychiatric diagnoses. Her dissertation was focused on the use of PRT with children diagnosed with a rare genetic condition known as Dup15q. In her free time, Dr. Ruzin teaches yoga, enjoys running and taking her dogs for hikes. STEPHANIE CRAMPTON, PSY.D. Dr. Crampton is a licensed psychologist (CA PSY26888) who received her bachelors degree in Psychology at Cal Poly State University and received her doctorate in clinical psychology at the Wright Institute in Berkeley, CA. She has worked extensively with children, teens and transitional youth with autism spectrum disorders, anxiety and depression in school, medical and community based settings. She is currently working in private practice in Marin County and Petaluma conducting therapeutic and assessment based services for children and teens. Dr. Crampton previously worked at the Kaiser Permanente ASD Center in San Francisco. SARAH BLANKENSHIP, OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR Sarah joined the team in April 2017 as our Outreach Coordinator and was subsequently promoted to our office lead. Previously, she worked in management in Human Resources for Lucasfilm, Hyatt and the Dallas Zoological Society. She received her BA in Psychology, and has always enjoyed helping others. Sarah works part-time and is available to assist with patient referrals, appointment information and scheduling, report distribution and other related needs. Dr. MacLeamy & Associates are in network with Medi-Cal (Partnership HealthPlan of California) to conduct autism spectrum related assessments for children, teens and adults. Dr. MacLeamy & Associates are out of network with other insurances at this time, but we can provide a superbill to aid you in seeking reimbursement for services rendered with your insurance company.
